It depends on the formula.
Weed Killer for Lawns: no.
It’s a selective, iron-based formula that kills broadleaf weeds and moss while your lawn grass keeps growing. Grass may darken briefly after spraying and recovers within a few days to weeks. Don’t use it on bentgrass, dichondra or drought-stressed grass, and don’t apply it when temperatures will be above 85°F.
Weed & Grass Killer: yes.
It’s non-selective, so it kills any grass it touches. Use it in beds, around planters and mulch, and to spot-treat lawn edges that border garden areas.
Weed, Brush & Vine Killer: yes.
It’s non-selective too, and made for tough weeds, brush and vines. Keep it off lawns and plants you want to keep.
Not sure? If you want to kill weeds in your lawn, use Weed Killer for Lawns. For everything else, use one of the other two.
